The World Cup affects the economy in the country it is being held greatly. If the World Cup is being held in your country it is an exciting thing. Not only do the people of the country get to watch the games live, but they get to celebrate that their economy is going to be better. There were about 160,000 jobs created by the World Cup in 2010. Statistics say that the economy usually stays the same or goes down a little on the year the World Cup is happening because of all the money they are spending to get ready for the World Cup.
